I made my own candles (with the help of Lane and our friend Jessica) and also learned some french thanks to Lane’s friend Abby. Let me just say, candle making is much more difficult than you think. Heather and I agreed that our beer making was much easier.
To make candles, you need time, patience and and REALLY need to follow directions. The kit Jessica and I bought didn’t include a bunch of stuff we probably could have used. Since the kit was sealed up, we couldn’t even read the directions first. We were kind of on our own, but hopefully after this, we will be able to wing it.
Learning french was a little easier. I learned some french phrases that I can incorporate into my everyday life. Here’s what I learned:
Donne moi argent!
-Give me money!
Je t’aime
-I love you
Je deteste Paul Groth
-I hate Paul Groth
Oo es le toilet?
-Where is the bathroom?
Numero sept est fini!
-Number seven is finished!
Je veux aller a Sandals!
-Take me to Sandals!
