I wanted to share something with all of you that really meant a lot to me. I got a message from a friend I hadn’t talked to for a few weeks. I won’t go into detail, but in one part of her message said, “You always do what you say you’re gonna and even what you don’t by being spontaneous.”
The first thing I thought was, I do? The second thing was a little guilt, because there have been a lot of things I’ve said I would do, but haven’t. One is to write a book. For as long as I remember, I’ve been a writer. Yet, the idea of actually writing a novel is really intimidating. Another is to be successful. Really successful. I got that drive from my dad. For as long as I remember, he’s finished everything he’s started. Can’t really say that I do that.
So I’m sucking it up and writing a book. I’ve said that so many times, and even though it scares me, it’s something I really want in life. I want to be an author. I want to change people’s lives with my words. That might sound cheesy, but it’s something I’ve always wanted. I will be successful, and that one message in my inbox encouraged me.
“You always do what you say you’re gonna.”
Not always, but I will now.
