Hey ya’ll.

I’ve been pinning furiously in light of the upcoming Drifty House (I’M BUYING A HOUSE), with still no clear idea when or where the rooms will appear. I put an offer on a house that I’m expecting to be either rejected or countered (due to the area/competition/etc.), but I’m also keeping my expectations low because I don’t want to get my hopes up.

I found a house a few weeks ago that I loved (say it again, loved), but unfortunately, it fell through. It literally could have also, because the roof was rotting away. It was a sad day for me, because I could have seen myself in that house for a long time. But things happen for a reason, right?

So my latest house is south of Wilmington, only a few minutes drive from downtown. It has beautiful grey walls, a tiny writing studio with big bay windows, and a minimalist’s dream kitchen.

This find was special, as it’s not officially on the market yet (aka, not listed on Zillow). I found it serendipitously, and if it works out in my favor, I will share the story here. In the meantime, you’ll have to settle for hearing about the various murder houses, mold ridden ranches, and other unfortunate home finds I’ve seen.

And also, the pictures I’m drawing inspiration from for design, straight from my Pinterest board:

Also – I’m not a big fan of purple, but something about that last picture really really gets me.

Dreamy.
