Over Labor Day weekend, I climbed up Mount Battie in Camden Hills State Park. Utilizing the Mount Megunticook Trail, I went up Mount Battie first, and then up to Ocean Lookout.
The trail is still. Sweat trickles down my back, although there’s a ton of shade. Somewhere in the distance, I hear two women softly speaking spanish.
Morrie pants, as I look around at the towering trees. It’s quiet.
We went on a hike at Ganondagan today. I snapped a pic of Morris mid-sniff.
I turn down the radio, and quickly glance between the passenger and driver seat.
It’s hot. My grey tank has become another layer of skin. I run my hand through my short, cropped hair, taking a deep breath as I push forward.
