Frequently Asked Questions | Driftyland FAQs

Learn all about Driftyland and our printed travel zine

What is Driftyland?

Driftyland is a travel-inspired storytelling zine that blends place, film, rest, and ritual. It explores how travel shapes identity, creativity, and emotional well-being—often through slower, more intentional experiences rather than checklist tourism.

Is Driftyland a travel guide?

Not exactly. Driftyland isn’t about seeing everything: it’s about feeling something. While destinations, hotels, and experiences are featured, the focus is on how travel can intersect with narrative, mood, and inner life.

Is Driftyland distributed by a publisher?

We’re an independent press! We currently use Canva to put together our zines.

Who is Driftyland for?

Driftyland is for people who:

  • Travel to feel grounded, inspired, or restored
  • Prefer thoughtful experiences over packed itineraries
  • Love film, atmosphere, and storytelling
  • Are curious about rest, sleep, and anti-hustle travel
  • Treat astrology (and similar) as brain Doritos: nice to have as a treat, not to live your life by

What makes Driftyland different from traditional travel content?

Instead of optimizing for productivity or “must-see” lists, Driftyland treats travel as a form of self-inquiry and exploration of media.
