Virgo Season

Traveling in Virgo Season

August 23 to September 22

Virgo season is popular for those who want to get organized and focused, especially with a return to school. However, it can also be a great time to get a last burst of energy out before obligations settle in. Captain Abu Raed (2007), set in Amman, Jordan, is a great film to watch for perspective and reminders on how to be kind and good to others.

Visit the film’s setting in Jordan (September is a good time to visit) and be transported back to the ancient city of Jerash, where you can imagine how people once lived. The trip can also be a chance to imagine and plan out your own dreams, similar to how “the Captain” does. Don’t forget to plan for goodness: how will you make a positive impact on those around you?

Being Human (2011) is also a great fit for Virgo season, as a TV show set in modern-day Boston, filmed in Canada (the American version) or Bristol, England (the 2008 UK version). As August cools into September, plan to tour the mysterious countryside, best friends in tow. Have late nights and heartfelt conversations under the stars, take a tour of Boston’s haunted graveyards with Ghosts & Graveyards, and visit the ghostly Llandoger Trow pub in Bristol, or simply explore UNESCO-listed Old Quebec, where scenes from the American show were actually filmed.
