My first level studio in St. Germain was hot, but perfect.

After playing with the oversized keys, (the fancy elongated European ones), I finally made my way in through the three doors.

The oversized, heavy wooden front door, the glass security door, and the ironclad front door of the studio. (That lock was particularly difficult to manage.) One can’t help but wonder how tricky it would be after a few drinks.

There was a light in the hall, but it didn’t switch on right away. For about ten seconds, you’re in the dark. Alone.  But when the apartment door opens, warmth.

In broken English, my host explained that the windows were difficult to open, close, then lock. As he clumsily explained how to work them, I decided not open them at all.  I’d just have to withstand the heat.

You can rent the studio, too! Just head on over to Airbnb and give Anda a shout.
