Looking for a spot to get grub down south? Here are the most nomtastic places to grab a bite in Savannah, GA.

Green Fire Pizza

Before heading to our ghost tour, C and I were famished. So we headed over to Green Fire Pizza, (after experiencing an incredibly crowded Fire Street Food.)

If you need a quick bite, this is a pretty good spot. The pizza is good and well priced, with a variety of toppings to choose from. We got two plain slices, in the interest of time, but they were still great and super cheesy.

Fox and Fig Cafe

Chase and I went to Fox and Fig twice for coffee. It was really close to the cottage house we were renting. The cafe is all Vegan, with scrumptious cheesecakes, cookies, pies, and more.

The cafe is very clean and tidy, located on the first floor of an old house. Despite being plant-based, they had an expansive menu that included something called Milky Shakes, that I still regret not trying. My only complaint would be how busy it gets, but that’s to be expected from anywhere that’s good.

Clary’s

I don’t want to call Clary’s a hole in the wall, because it’s so lovely. It’s a great “greasy spoon,” if you’re into really cheesy, salty grits, giant cheeseburgers, and plate sized servings of eggs.

I liked it because it was simple – the food was good and affordable, without any hipster lorem ipsum on the menu. Frills aside (and trust me, there’s a lot of frills in Savannah), this place is just a stellar spot to eat.
