Hey everyone! Today was a really exciting day for Dave and I, and I am really excited to share. I’ve tried to keep this under wraps until I knew it was actually happening. It’s been in the works for a couple weeks, hence the prolonged stay here in Philadelphia, but we were finally able to do it today! This morning I was featured on CBS Philly/CW Philly to cross off a couple goals off my list. Awesome, right?

I met reporter Nicole Brewer through chef Christina Dimacali. She’s a very kind and genuine person, as well as a very talented reporter. She really took an interest in Dave and I and had a lot of motivation to see this get done. I can say that my experience with her today was amazing!  We met up at Woodedge Farms in Moorestown, NJ to cross some goals off my list.  This is what we got accomplished!

#24. Go horseback riding
Thanks to Woodedge Farms, I got a brief horseback riding lesson during the morning news. I’ve always really wanted to try horseback riding, and haven’t gotten any opportunities to do it, so this was a real treat for me. The horse, Rush, was hilarious. He kept making ridiculous faces and trying to assert himself as “the boss”. I think that this would be really fun to try when Dave comes home!

#16. Change a tire
I’ve had flats numerous times over the past few years. I’ve always had to call someone to come to my rescue. With Dave gone, I was hoping that this could be something I could take care of myself. CBS had some guys from AAA come and assist me in changing the back left tire of my car. In the short time they were with me, I actually learned a lot. One thing they went over with me is how important it is to have the jack in place. The jack that comes with your vehicle isn’t the highest quality, so if you really want to be a pro, you can pick up a better one at any automotive retail store. They also gave me an emergency kit for my car, as well as a year membership to AAA for Dave and I!

#61. Go to the spa for the day
I was really very excited about this one, and believe it or not, it was Dave’s idea! I’ve put it off until right before he comes home and lucky for me, CBS helped me out. Thanks to Bernards in Cherry Hill, I had a manicure and massage AT Woodedge Farms this morning! I can truly say that was a first! They also provided me with a gift certificate for full spa services so I can officially cross this one off the list. I can’t wait to go!

#92. Get Denis Leary’s autograph for Dave
This was by far the most difficult thing on my list, and I honestly did not expect to complete it. I’ve tried to reach out to Denis through social media, but hadn’t had much luck. Some back story, Dave is a huge fan of Rescue Me, along with myself, Groth and Arnold. The show just started it’s last season, and Dave was really disappointed that he would have to wait to watch it. This goal was really important to me. My friends over at CBS, luckily, had some ties to Denis and were able to ask him to sign a photo for Dave. He said he’d be happy to! It says, “Dave, all the best bro- Denis” SOOOOOOO AWESOME!

Since today is a day of sharing, I’m also very excited to share that Dave will be returning soon. I don’t give out any specifics of course, but I can say that it’s crunch time! I’m going to be really trying to get the rest knocked off my list, and I REALLY need your help! If you see something that you can contribute to, please let me know. I truly feel like I can do this, and have all of you to thank for your endless support and motivation.
